Dominated by the Moonstone!

Psylocke has gotten word that two mutant siblings have been hitting a variety of museums. They can't rightly be called thefts as of yet since nothing from any of the 9 museums has been stolen. They siblings even make no attempt to hide the fact that they are raiding the museums. Security has been tightened among many of the smaller, and larger museums through out the city. The police are at a loss, and calls in Psiologist, and former X-woman Psylocke. She investigates the scene of each of the places, and using her Psychometric powers to probe the past. A trick she has been practicing with is reading the thoughts of the past. Much like sensing the images of what took place, she can sometimes pick up left over mental activity. This act leaves her weakened and drained, but practice is making it easier to cope with.

At the second to the last museum she learns that the siblings are seeking something called a Moonstone, this Moonstone it seems enhances a users natural talents, and allows them other profound powers. It seems to be a relic of India, and something belonging to a supposed minor deity! The two siblings are brother and sister from India, seeking to obtain the stone for themselves. From all the video evidence, the brother and sister BOTH seem to be brain and brawn. Sometimes they target separate museums together, and others independently, but always at the same times. Speaking to a friend in the Historical society, they always coincide on times of lunar phenomena.

Tonight was a New moon, and from her readings Psylocke hits the museum she thinks they would be most likely to hit, using her Remote viewing powers, she can also keep an eye on another high potential museum. As she waited for something, the two didn't let her down. But even though she's set up the two, she may have out thought herself. Psylocke was the least athletic of the X-men, and physically defenseless up close. Her plans relied on keeping her foes at bay, and using her illusions and calming powers to to slow them. But even with her best laid plan, it went awry!

The Two were exceedingly faster than she though, nothing in the footage she saw relayed this. They casually searched the museums, then simply left by the roof. Now that they knew they were on notice, they sped up their activity. She needed to be close to sense their thoughts, but even 50 feet may be too close. The sister flanked left while the brother went straight away. Using a table to block his path, Betsy backed behind it, and hit him with a Psychic Bolt, it stunned him momentarily, but he was soon back on his feet. The sister was able to hit the walls like Spiderman, and left off right at her. Psylocke backpedaled nearly tripping on her cloak. She tried to calm the sister, then as she tried a Psychic bolt, the brother jumped over the table, and knocked her down. stunned and shaken from the collision, she was helpless in his grasp. His arm turned reptilian, strong and scaly. She was his.

After 20 minutes his sister returned, and she had a prize.. the Moonstone! She learned the Moonstone was their family relic, and they were the demigods to which this thing belonged, and they were here to collect. They wished no one ill harm but could afford no interference. So they would use the stone to Hypnotize Psylocke into remembering what happened, but not exactly who. They also used to stone to erase it and their presence from the museum. Taking her outside, he easily held her with one arm, and used the stone in the other to hypnotize the woman. Psylocke had always had issues with being mentally dominated, and this one was no different.
After the deed was done they left. Hours later Betsy was found standing in the same spot they left her, she only woke up once the police shook her. reviewing the video, they saw much of what transpired, but the images of the siblings were scrambled when they shifted to their true forms. With the record of what was stolen gone, it came across as another museum that suffered a pseudo robbery. For her part Betsy, had used this trick on others minds before.

It wouldn't be long before she would recall the true events.
